Mistérios do Siriará
Videomapping created for Visual Brasil Festival 2026, in Barcelona (Spain), with visuals and soundtrack by Misteria.
Mistérios do Siriará is a videomapping piece created for Visual Brasil Festival 2026, in Barcelona. In Brazilian slang, siriará means a mess, a commotion, a state of confusion — and that is the state the piece brings to the facade. A repertoire of symbols from the imagination of Ceará (eyes, skulls, mandacaru cacti, fish, animals, rising suns) appears in a graphic line close to woodcut and tilework, multiplying across the building's columns, windows, door and cornice. Patterns pile on top of one another, fall apart and recompose over three and a half minutes. Visuals and soundtrack were composed together, with the sound setting the timing of every turn.
